I
thought I've nailed the small girl
design from the very beggining, but
once that I saw overall design wasn't
good and I've started re-designing
everything, I had to re-think the
small girl, too. Moreover, most of
the kids looked quite generic in the
Animatic, so puppets were about to
look generic, and even more so, with
the same clothes they'd share. I had
to do some extensive re-think for
all the kids. The pre-production was
almost finihed, and I had all the
clothes already produced (and in quantities)
by the time, so I had to work around
it. It was easy to experiment with
supporting characters, but I've already
started shooting and wasn't quite
sure upon little girl's looks. It
was only when I actually started to
prepare first shots with kids, that
I decided upon her final design.
